As an undergraduate, Peyman double majored in aerospace and mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Later in his studies, he developed an interest in biological sciences and decided to do a PhD in molecular engineering, specializing in cancer and immune engineering. He enjoys staying active and playing the Persian Tar.
Peyman's research involves understanding the immunological role of the lymphatic system in shaping immune responses. More specifically, he tries to understand how the lymphatic vessels modulate the tumor microenvironment and the anti-tumor immunity in breast cancer. The goal is to elucidate the mechanisms lymphatics affect responsiveness to immunotherapies.
